Jessup napa valley cabernet sauvignon, 2002 &2003
Loved it. Doesn't really taste like a cab. Really mellow. No tartness at all. 2002 has a little more kick than the 2003 but both are excellent, easy drinking cabs. 3 stars.

cacophony zinfandel 2004
Spicy, bittersweet. It's OK. Made a great zinfandel port reduction sauce with it. Wouldn't buy it again. $15.

manzanita creek 3 vine zinfandel 2005
Bursting with delightful flavor. Enjoyed this one. Not quite as syrupy as the usual zins I like but nevertheless very tasty. 2 stars. < $20 at Costco.

Turley Zinfandel Old Vine 2005
Wow! I was very disappointed in this bottle. My favorite bottle of wine ever was a Turley Old vine Zin- can't remember which year. But the 2005 was nothing like it. It was bland, with some tartness had none of the usually jamminess or complexity. Reminded of the Juvenile Turleys that I have had- which is OK but not great. This bottle did not live up to it's Turley name. $65 at Bong Su.

Munster Gerome
Ok , so I've decided to add cheese to this 'wine blog'. That's because I have the same problem with cheeses- try them, love some and then can never remember the name of it.
TOday, I fell in love with the Munster Gerome at Jim & Andrea's place. Soft & stinky ( ah heavenly)... need I say more. Quite pungent. Daxy ( my cat) was quite curious about the lovely stink left on my fingers when I came home.
